Viewers can't request songs in my stream. What's wrong?
Answer
Requests need three things at once: Twitch linked, a player linked, and the command or reward actually enabled.
Chat command
- Settings → Commands: !ssr is on.
- You're live, or at least Songify is connected to chat. If the Twitch login expired, reconnect it.
- Test with a mod account before blaming viewers. Permission might be subs-only.
Channel points
- Settings → Song Requests: the reward is enabled.
- The reward exists on the Twitch dashboard. If you renamed or deleted it on Twitch's side, Songify won't see redemptions.
It queues but never plays
The command worked. Spotify/Pear is the problem — not connected, paused, or a free Spotify account that can't start tracks.
It plays for you, not for them
Cooldown, queue limit, or the blocklist. Check those before rewriting commands.
Logs under Settings → Logs usually say whether the message was ignored (permissions) or the player refused the track.
