Find Your WebSocket Port

To find your WebSocket port in Songify:

1. Open Songify
2. Go to File → Settings → Web Server
3. Look for the WebSocket port setting
4. Copy the port number and paste it above

Web Server Must Be Running

Important: The Songify web server must be running for widgets to work properly.

• Make sure the web server is enabled in Songify settings
• Check that the port matches the one configured above
• Widgets will show connection errors if the server is not running

HTTPS and WebSocket to Songify (any browser)

Songify exposes ws:// on your machine (not wss://). From a page loaded over HTTPS, ws:// to localhost may be treated as mixed content — rules and enforcement vary by browser and version. This widget gallery checks the WebSocket connection only.

Recommended: Use HTTP for local widget testing, or adjust your browser’s mixed-content rules only for trusted development.

Optional (Firefox): In about:config, some users set security.mixed_content.block_active_content to false for development. Only do this if you understand the security tradeoff.
