How do I create and configure the Songify widget?
Answer
Widgets live in the Widget Store on this site, not inside Songify's settings window.
- In Songify, start the web server: Settings → WebServer → Start. Default port is
22345. Autostart is optional but useful. - Open the Widget Store while Songify is running. The connection indicator at the top should go green.
- Pick a widget, change the look if you want, then copy the OBS link.
- In OBS, add a Browser Source, paste that URL, and set the width and height to whatever the widget suggests.
If the preview won't connect, the port on the Widget Store has to match Songify. After you change the port in the app, restart the web server.
Copied links stay valid if you copy again with different settings — handy for a BRB scene and a live scene. Premium widgets need an API token and an active Premium (or trial) account.
