Question
How do I connect my Twitch channel to Songify?
Answer
Open Settings → Twitch and click Login with Twitch on the main account. Sign in, accept the permissions, and you should land back in Songify.
That's it for the happy path. The permission list looks scary; Songify asks for them so chat commands, rewards, timeouts, and announcements all work from one login. Don't skip the prompt or you'll spend an hour wondering why requests do nothing.
Songify currently requests:
- channel:manage:redemptions — create or edit channel point rewards
- channel:moderate — timeouts and bans
- channel:read:redemptions — see redemptions
- channel:read:subscriptions — who's subscribed
- chat:edit / chat:read — send and read chat
- moderator:manage:announcements — chat announcements
- moderator:manage:automod / moderator:manage:automod_settings — AutoMod
- moderator:manage:banned_users — ban or unban
- moderator:manage:blocked_terms — blocked words
- moderator:manage:chat_settings — slow mode and similar
- moderator:read:automod_settings, moderator:read:blocked_terms, moderator:read:chat_settings
- moderator:read:chatters / moderator:read:followers
- moderation:read — recent mod actions
- channel:read:vips
- channel:bot — let the app act as a bot
- bits:read
Website login (for tokens and Premium) is separate: Twitch Authentication.
